This fee can vary depending upon which Commercial Operator License Examination Manager (COLEM) administers the examination, and the number and type of test elements administered. This fee is paid to the examiners. As of January 1, 2010, National Radio Examiners charges a $50 fee per sitting per applicant. Additional elements beyond the first 2 elements are charged at $25 per element. This is the only license fee that examinees pay to the examiner.
